Many of us make a goal, start working on it and then drop it once we feel it gets too difficult for us to obtain. It is critical to come to terms that in order to achieve success you have to get comfortable with being uncomfortable. We have to do the things in our life, we do not want to do, in order to achieve the desired results we want to see happen in our life. Many people like things that come easily or naturally to us. However, it takes true strength to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and trust in yourself to advance to the next level. Continually, seeking a different approach to learn and grow from past mistakes can help you to achieve your goal that you may have thought was unachievable. But, if you stay determined and persistent to constantly work on your goals by taking small steps it makes a big goal possible. Listed below are three ways to train your mind for success:
1. Be Honest To Yourself:
Fear and self-doubt like to get in the way of you achieving your goal. If you tell yourself, “I can’t…”, “It’s too hard…” or “I'll never be able to do…” etc. then you frame your mind to think negatively about your situation and you underestimate your abilities and the power of what you could accomplish if you were just to believe in yourself. Do not let fear or self-doubt ever stop you from your goal, instead recognize that you have to continually work on the challenge to overcome it. Start your workout with “I can do it…”, “This is easy..” or “I got this…” etc. these positive phrases give you the self-confidence and encouragement you need to hear when things get difficult.
2. Set Realistic Goals & Expectations:
Create a goal and use objectives to assist you to reach that goal. Start by picking a workout routine and work on pieces of the routine. By breaking a large routine down into smaller pieces to work on you become better at performing the simple exercises first. By succeeding on a section of the workout you can reassure yourself it is possible for you to succeed and lead you to become more motivated to learn the entire workout routine. Nothing beats fear and self-doubt then proving to yourself that you can do anything you put your mind to. In your routine tell yourself you can do it and commit to working hard showing up every day to achieve your goal. By pushing yourself out of your comfort zone that’s where real growth happens and you become closer to accomplishing your dream in the long run.
3. Prioritize Your Time & Routine:
Make time for yourself, find a space and surround yourself with positive energy. By making yourself a priority you will have a better health condition, improved memories with friends or family as those who closely support you will make you happy and create special moments with you. If you don't know what you'll become in the future, don't worry or panic just focus on getting started today and prioritize yourself more to create a better tomorrow.
